Typically Fresh 48 sessions happen in a postpartum hospital room or the home within 48 hours of giving birth. This Fresh 48 session was a bit different, because sweet Miles had to have a bit of a NICU stay after inhaling some meconium at birth. I wanted to make sure we got a session where I got some pictures of Kait holding her baby boy. It was definitely emotional for me to see her holding him after everything I witnessed during her birth only a couple days prior. He was right where he was meant to be, safe in his mamas arms. I knew a NICU stay was hard, but after watching what Kait & Dylan went through, my respect for NICU parents has greatly increased. Thankfully this family of three went home soon after Christmas and are all doing very well!
